Cherry Pie Bars 🍪

A buttery crust, luscious cherry filling, and crumbly topping – the perfect handheld cherry pie!


🛒 Ingredients:

Crust & Topping:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp salt

1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Glaze (optional):

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

½ tsp almond extract


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Make the Dough:

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.

Mix in flour and salt until combined.

3️⃣ Assemble:

Spread ⅔ of the dough into the baking dish.

Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the dough.

Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough on top.

4️⃣ Bake:

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool completely.

5️⃣ Glaze & Serve:

Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract.

Drizzle over cooled bars, slice, and enjoy!
